— Mega Man, Sonic the Hedgehog #251

The Super Adaptor is a power enhancing armor used by Mega Man in the Sonic & Mega Man: Worlds Collide crossover event. Mega Man obtains this armor by having Rush transform into the armor and then merging with him.

When wearing the Super Adaptor, Mega Man's entire body armor changes appearance, with his sky blue and blue bodysuit-like frame switching to a red, white and pink color scheme. His helmet's ear pieces and blocks down the middle becomes white, while his boots and pelvis become red, and his underarm, hands and thighs become white. Mega Man's torso area also undergoes a significant change, becoming more pronounced with a yellow sphere in the middle and obtains a red and white color scheme as well. He also gains red wrist gauntlets, red spherical shoulder armor with pink and yellow dishes on them, and two red rectangular jet thrusters on his back.

With the Super Adaptor, Mega Man obtains an overall power boost. While the full extend of the Super Adaptor's capabilities are unknown, Mega Man was able to tear of a thick metal plate with brute force while wearing it.

The Super Adaptor was one of the objects that came into existence when the timeline of Mega Man's reality was rewritten by Dr. Eggman and Dr. Wily's Genesis Wave, and as such did not exist prior to the alteration of the timeline.

After having been freed from their captivity inside the Wily Egg by Knuckles, Proto Man and Dr. Light, Sonic and Mega Man hurried over to the Genesis Chamber to stop Dr. Eggman and Dr. Wily's Super Genesis Wave. In order to obtain enough strength for the upcoming battle since he did not have any E-Tanks to replenish himself, Mega Man merged with Rush to obtain the Super Adaptor. Seeing Mega Man assume the Super Adaptor, however, gave Sonic the idea of them harnessing the Chaos Emeralds to attain super forms.

When Mega Man, while wearing the Super Adaptor, absorbed the Chaos Emeralds to combat Drs. Eggman and Wily's Egg-Wily Machine X, his transformation into Super Armor Mega Man caused the Super Adaptor to change appearance as well, replacing its red and pink colors with that of a golden yellow color.
