Sunset City[2] is a location that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by IDW Publishing. It is a large merchant city on Sonic's world that is famous for its jewel markets.
Description
Sunset City is a large city located at the coast of a bay. It has a large central hub with many buildings, both short and tall. The most noticeable characteristic part of the city is the its red, narrow bridge across the river at the bay that lies to the south. The bridge itself is located on the east side of the Grand Gold Flicky Hotel. It is also known for being a major merchant hub, which includes dazzling jewel markets. Originally, Sunset City was a major merchant hub. Early on during the Eggman War however, Sunset City was attacked by Badniks and heavily damaged. However, its citizens stayed strong, and in the aftermath of the Eggman War, the city began to rebuilt with aid from the Restoration.[3]
