The Sunglasses are an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. They are a pair of mechanical glasses which were used briefly by Knuckles the Echidna.[1]

Appearance[]
The Sunglasses resemble a pair of black lenses attached onto a mechanical gray band. The band in question also has a line of text written on its back reading "SA2B".[2][3]
History[]
Return to Angel Island[]
Knuckles equipped the Sunglasses during Sonic and the Chaotix's recon mission on Angel Island, although he never utilized them. Eventually, Knuckles discarded the Sunglasses and all his other gear, so as to travel lighter.[2][4]
Trivia[]
- The Sunglasses are based on the Level Up Item of the same name from Sonic Adventure 2 and its re-release, Sonic Adventure 2: Battle.
- The text "SA2B" appearing on the back of the Sunglasses is also a reference to Sonic Adventure 2: Battle.
- Although this version of the Sunglasses feature a unique design which is used for all the stories they appear in, they are drawn in their Sonic Adventure 2 design on the frontispiece of Sonic the Hedgehog #138.
