The Summoning Spire,[1] also known as the Focusing Spire,[2] is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is a device built by A.D.A.M. with the purpose of collecting the universe's Chaos Emeralds.
History[]
Order From Chaos[]
In a plot to attract the Chaos Emeralds from around the cosmos with the Summoning Spire, Tails and Shadow the Hedgehog were forced into their super forms, as both had unique ties to the Emeralds.[2] The spire attempted to attract the Master Emerald but it was retained on Angel Island by Locke and Dr. Finitevus. After the Emeralds had been collected, both Sonic the Hedgehog and A.D.A.M. used the spire to attain Super Forms themselves. However, A.D.A.M. did not get to use the Emeralds further, as Turbo Tails and Super Shadow sent them all to the Zone of Silence.[1] The Summoning Spire was dismantled after NICOLE reshaped the Nanite city into New Mobotropolis.
Trivia[]
- The base of the spire features a Flux Capacitor, a nod to the Back to the Future film series.
