Sticks the Badger is the boss of Seaside Coast, and the first boss of Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal. She is encountered in Seaside Race, which becomes available after clearing Seaside Jungle and earning three Sonic Badges, and is fought with Sonic the Hedgehog. By beating this boss, Sticks will unlocked as a playable character to be used by the player.

The fight is a race against Sticks the Badger. To beat Sticks, the player must reach the finish line before Sticks using the Enerbeam Swings, Boost Pads, and Bounce Pads. However, these gimmicks can also be used by Sticks.
