The Star Post is a gimmick that appears in the Sonic X franchise. It is a thin post with multiple purposes.
Description[]
Star Posts are thin posts, about the same size as Sonic. They have a yellow post with gray lines, a long, gray rod, and a blue bulb-like sphere on top of them.[1]
In Sonic X (Leapster), the Star Posts look mostly the same, except that they now have a blue center with a blue star printed on a red post that replaces the yellow and gray one.
History[]
Archie Comics[]
No Thanks for the Memories![]
After being transported to a virtual world created by Dr. Eggman, Sonic would pass through a Star Post.[1]
Game appearances[]
Sonic X (Leapster)[]
In Sonic X (Leapster), the Star Posts can be seen at the end of zones 1 and 2 in each level. Serving as the goal of those zones, passing by a Star Post will finish the zone and take the player to the results screen.
Trivia[]
- In Sonic X #10, the Star Posts have the same design as those from the original Sonic the Hedgehog, while in Sonic X (Leapster), they have the same design as the Checkpoints from Sonic Advance.
