Star Pointer (アイスダス Icedus?) is a hovering badnik from IceCap Zone in Sonic the Hedgehog 3. It is similar to Orbinaut, but the four balls spinning around its central sphere are made of ice.
The Star Pointer slowly moves around, and when it sees Sonic, Tails or Knuckles it slowly fires off its four balls of sharp ice one at a time. It's useful to have a Shield on you when you're near this badnik, as the ice balls will disintegrate when they come in contact with a shield. To destroy the lone sphere that's left, just jump on it.
