The Spouting Attack[1] is a move that appears in Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut. It is a technique used by Chaos 4, where it blasts columns of water upward.

Description

When using the Spouting Attack, Chaos 4 will flip around, creating varying numbers of water columns that can flip large lily pads.

In gameplay, this technique is used during the Chaos 4 boss battle. When preparing to use this attack, Chaos 4 will flip about, creating water columns. The attack itself does not damage the player, but it will flip the various lily pads in the pond. This technique is only meant to get rid of the player's footholds and expose them to the harmful water.
