The Spinning Spike Attack[1] is a move that appears in Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut. It is an attack used by the Egg Viper, wherein it throws its spiked platforms at its foes.

Description

When using the Spinning Spike Attack, the Egg Viper launches the two spiked platforms on its sides as disks which then return like boomerangs.

In gameplay, this technique is used during the Egg Viper boss battle. When preparing to use this attack, the Egg Viper will move to either end of the arena. From there, it will shoot out the spiked platforms at the player. The player must use these spiked projectiles as platforms to reach the Egg Viper for an attack. If the player fails to successfully jump on or avoid these platforms, they will take damage.
