The Spiker is a character that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. It is a mass-produced Badnik model made by Dr. Robotnik.

Appearance

Spikers are blue and white robots that resemble platforms. They possess red eyes and have several spikes protruding from their top surface.

History

When Sonic the Hedgehog and Amy Rose came to the Marble Garden Zone on a mission, a Spiker hiding in the undergrowth noticed the arrivals and tried shooting them, only for the pair to avoid its shot.[1]

A pair of Spikers would later attack Sonic underwater when the hedgehog fell into a lake in the Labyrinth Zone. Though Sonic easily destroyed one of them, he was soon trapped inside a fake air bubble that began shrinking. Sonic tried using the remaining Spiker's spikes to burst the bubble, but its spikes had no effect. However, the remaining Spiker lost Sonic when he used the debris from the Spiker he destroyed to climb out of the water. The remaining Spiker seemingly appeared upset that Sonic did not suffocate in the water.[2]

Powers and abilities

Spikers, due to mimicking spike, are painful to touch. They are also capable of firing laser blasts.[1]
