The Spike Trap [1] [2] Sonic the Hedgehog seriesWeight with spikes on the bottom.
Description [ ] The Spike Traps have the same basic appearance as the Weights , which is a large, rectangular metallic block with a red line along its edges. Unlike the Weights, however, they have spikes on their bottom surface.
The Spike Traps move up and down automatically in intervals. Some of them fall down instantly while others take their time. When they are about to fall, the red outline on them flashes. Filling the role of obstacles, the player will take damage should the Spike Traps fall down on Sonic or if their spikes touches him, though they will not make the player lose a life like the Crushers . Alternatively, the player can climb on top of Spike Traps as they rise, which makes them work like rising and falling platforms.
