Special Stages are a series of special levels that appear exclusively in Nintendo 3DS version of Sonic Lost World.[1] The Special Stages in this game are loosely based on the ones featured in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic & Knuckles
Overview
The Special Stages takes place in space-like void with floating blue spheres and red spheres, which the player has to collect. The player is able to move Sonic through the void by boosting. For control, the game utilizes the Nintendo 3DS's gyroscope.[2]
Not much is known about these Special Stages, with the exception the fact that they are featured in the game's multiplayer mode.
