Sonic the Hedgehog Golf is a mobile game in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It was developed by Glu Mobile and was published by Rockpool Games in cooperation with Sega.
Gameplay[]
Sonic the Hedgehog Golf is a sports game based on real world golf. Each character has three attributes determining their performance: Power, Spin, and Control. The game takes place across a nine-hole golf course, with each golf course being based on Zones from the original Sonic the Hedgehog.
Following the traditional rules of golf, the objective of the game is to knock a golf ball across the Courses into a hole marked with a Goal Plate with the least amount of strokes. Points are awarded for staying under par. Along the way, the golf balls knocked away by the characters can pick up objects that lie along their trajectory, such as Rings and Item Boxes. When the golf ball lands in the course's hole, a Flicky-like bird will emerge from the hole. As the player progresses through the game, they will unlock new Courses and difficulty settings. When the player completes a playthrough, they will be given an overview of their performance which they can choose to save in their High Scores.

Pocket Gamer |
Sonic the Hedgehog Golf was not widespread, with very few total downloads. However, those who did play the game upon its release praised the replayability and fun visuals.[1] Stuart Dredge of Pocket Gamer cited it as "a damn fine golf game that keeps true to the spirit of Sonic's world," while also acknowledging that the combination of Sonic and golf is "ridiculous."[1]
