Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is an upcoming live-action film based on the Sonic the Hedgehog series and the fourth entry in the Sonic the Hedgehog film series produced by Paramount Pictures, as well as the sequel to Sonic the Hedgehog 3.[3] Little is known about the project as of Summer 2025, besides the fact that the third film's mid-credits scene set it up with the introduction of Amy Rose and Metal Sonic, as has happened in previous entries.[3] The film is scheduled to be released on March 19, 2027.[2]

As of December 2024, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is scheduled for a release on March 19, 2027.[1]

Trivia

  • This is currently the only film to be slated for release in an odd year, being 2027: the other three films were released in even years, being 2020, 2022, and 2024 respectively; as will the Untitled Sonic Universe Event Film, scheduled for a 2028 release.
