35th Anniversary

The Sonic the Hedgehog 35th Anniversary is an upcoming celebration of three and a half decades since the start of the Sonic the Hedgehog series with the release of Sonic the Hedgehog in 1991 and set to take place in 2026.

In late March 2025, fans discovered early mentions of the anniversary in marketing materials, including a calendar called "Sonic the Hedgehog 35th Anniversary 2026 Wall Calendar with 4 Bonus Notecards" available to pre-order and expected to release in August 19, 2025.^[1]
