Sonic the Hedgehog 2 CD, also known as Super Sonic[1] and Sonic the Hedgehog 2: Escape from Ring Zone,[2] is an unreleased port of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Sega CD. The game was originally intended to be released in 1993 before being delayed and ultimately cancelled.[3]This would be the second Sonic game on the Sega CD to be cancelled, the other being the Sega CD port of Sonic the Hedgehog (16-bit).
