A planned film series based on Sonic the Hedgehog is being produced by Paramount Pictures. It will feature animation from Sega's Marza Animation Planet unit and will be a CG/live-action film series, depending on the first film's success.

- Sonic the Hedgehog - The first entry of the Sonic the Hedgehog film series, this film will be produced by Neal Moritz, and the first draft of the screenplay will be written by Evan Susser and Van Robichaux.[1] The movie is scheduled to premiere on November 8, 2019, with Tim Miller as the executive producer alongside with his Blur Studio collaborator Jeff Fowler set to direct the film. Patrick Casey and Josh Miller are writing the script.[2]
