Sonic the Hedgehog is a character that appears in the Sonic Underground television series. He was Sonic the Hedgehog's counterpart from an alternate dimension and one of the Royal 'Corrupt' Hedgehogs.

Appearance[]

Sonic was essentially a doppelganger of his Mobius counterpart, with the only difference being that he was quite overweight.

History[]

TV series[]

Past[]

When Sonic was very young, he used to play and sing, but as he grew, he came to hate music, and took it away from all the citizens of Mobius, forcing them to work in silence, or be destroyed.[1]

Season one[]

Receiving notice of some music heard in sector 3 from a Swatbot, Sonic ordered the entire sector to be destroyed. Sonic later sat down at the head of his table (the table in question, which was long enough to seat one hundred people, was set for only himself and having several lit candelabras on it) and ate several Chili dogs, but was greatly displeased with their quality, and ordered the chef which cooked them to be thrown in the palace's dungeon. He continued eating until he was confronted by his alternate counterpart, who ate the remaining chili dog, and proposed a race to the end of the table, with him running backwards and giving Sonic a head start to make it fair. Sonic agreed to this, but secretly hid an Electronic Shackle gun behind his back. Despite being given a head start, Sonic soon fell behind in the race, at which he used the Electronic Shackle gun to stop his alternate counterpart from winning. He soon recalled his Swatbot guards, which had recently been fired by his alternate counterpart and ordered them to imprison him. However, before they could do so, Dr. Robotnik arrived, and freed his alternate counterpart, who then used a different Electronic Shackle gun to capture Sonic, much to his anger. Him and his siblings were then shown what affects their tyrannical rule had on the citizens of Mobotropolis by their counterparts. Following his sister's example, Sonic had a change of heart and gave a sack of money to a beggar girl on the street. Him and his siblings were then brought to a forest, where they held a speech, promising to change their cruel ways and lead the kingdom into a new era of peace.[1]

Personality[]

Sonic had the same personality as his Mobius counterpart, albeit darker, more arrogant, and more self-involved. He was a cruel and lazy glutton who spent most of his time eating chili dogs and not enough time running to burn away the calories; because of this, he became obese. He had ridiculously high standards of taste, sending a cook to the dungeon because he thought his chili dogs were inadequate, though his counterpart believed they were very delicious. Unlike his counterpart, Sonic spoke formally and used almost no slang at all for an unknown reason.[1] He was also very foul-tempered as well in this regard, resorting to screaming and temper tantrums when he did not get his way, unlike his Mobius counterpart who is normally calm if and when he is refused his chili dogs. This may also be why he likely does not have a queen, as his fits of temper could and would lead to domestic violence unless he and his queen are kept apart for a time.

After having seen how the people suffered under his and his siblings' corrupt rule, Sonic had a change of heart. Developing sympathy for his people, Sonic resolved to become a kinder and more generous ruler over his people.[1]

Powers and abilities[]

Sonic was able to run at super speeds. Due to being severely out of shape however, he was not nearly as fast as his Mobius counterpart. He also showed a degree of proficiency with firearms, easily hitting his Mobius counterpart as he sped away with his gun.[1]
