Sonic the Hedgehog is a card set created by Topps in 1993. It is a card set that features fun facts, art, stickers and pieces to a flipbook.
Overview[]
This product is the first official Sonic flipbook line. It was created by the company Topps and in it contains a random assortment of index cards full of flipbook pages, stickers, fun facts and more. It was also made to promote Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

Animation[]
The main flipbook itself is a simple animation of Sonic the Hedgehog doing his iconic gesture, wagging his finger. He then taps his foot impatiently, and then runs off, heading into a spindash and leaving the scene. It is 33 frames long in total.
The Tips[]
One of the fun facts, specifically from Frame #4 of the flipbook.
All the fun facts correlate to actual things in Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Some of these include various zones, badniks, and more. It should be noted that this follows the early Sonic canon.
Stickers[]
Most of these are just fun, small one-offs featuring Sonic, Tails, Robotnik and more.

Scattered around the collection, there's art pieces of Sonic (and sometimes Tails) in various zones of Sonic the Hedgehog 1 & Sonic the Hedgehog 2. However, it uses both the American Dr. Ivo Robotnik design and Japanese Doctor Eggman design. Scattered around, there are also prism cards (made of foil) and there are 6 of these in total featuring various art from American Sonic the Hedgehog stock material, such as Sonic running from a bridge, Sonic 2 art and more.
