Suddenly, they saw Orbot, Cubot and Egg Pawns chasing down strange aliens. As Sonic saved the aliens, he received the power of a cyan alien which he used to destroy the Egg Pawns, making Orbot and Cubot leave the scene. Initially too tired to compete, Sonic harnessed the power of the Olympics to re-energize himself and beat Metal Sonic to the Prison Egg, releasing his friends while Eggman and his goons fled.
