• This book was originally scheduled for release on October 24, 2023, but was later pushed back to November 7, 2023.
• The early cover artwork for this book is from cover RI-A for Sonic the Hedgehog #3.
• The final cover artwork for this book features a layout inspired by the work of Alphonse Mucha.
• The final cover for this issue features numerous Knuckles-themed objects, including:
  • A Combi Catcher in Isolated Island.
  • Shots of Hidden Palace Zone, Pumpkin Hill, Sonic 3 & Knuckles' Special Stage, Sonic Advance's Angel Island Zone, and Sky Canyon.
  • A shot of Tikal (in Hint Orb form) outside the Shrine of Knuckles' race in the Mystic Ruins.
  • The broken Portal from Sonic Frontiers Prologue: Divergence.
  • A twisting vine with Little Planet flowers flowers growing on it. Curiously, the designs for the flowers are based on the original designs seen in prototypes of Sonic the Hedgehog CD, and not the designs from the final game. • The stylized decal in the center of the cover features several references:
  • The seven multicolored stars around its edges are colored in reference to the seven Chaos Emeralds.
  • The silhouettes of Sonic and Knuckles are based on the logo for Sonic & Knuckles.
    • This is more apparent on the original pencils for the cover. The decal was changed by request of Sega.
  • The smaller silhouette of Sonic's head at the very center is based on the logo for Sonic X.
