Synopsis[]

Bean asks Fang how this is working into his grand plan with the latter telling him to keep quiet. Eggman asks Fang's Gang why they were in his territory, Fang mentioning how it was sinking after its destruction and was technically abandoned, but Eggman still claims it to be his base. Bean then says to Fang to just tell him what they were doing and Fang says they were looking for the 8th Chaos Emerald. Eggman says it's a hoax, though Fang backs up his claim saying he heard about it through his contacts and wants to prove everyone wrong. Eggman makes a deal for their assistance on a mission; Fang denies but the doctor threatens them with a pool of Mashers. Eggman mentions how the Hard Boiled Heavies went rouge after testing a strange gemstone they found on the Heavy Wing, since it keeps warping on and off, and asks them to find and retrieve his ship. Fang and his gang agree and set off in the Marvelous Queen to find it. In Talis' Lab, Tails is working on something while Sonic is very bored, Tails suggests he takes a nap, but Sonic denies saying he wants to go find the disappearing ship. Tails creates the Ship Seeker, a device that can locate where the ship is disappearing and reappearing to. Sonic is ready, but Tails needs to attach it to the Tornado first. Elsewhere, Fang's Gang are waiting for the Heavy Wing to appear, with Bean snidely asking Fang if Eggman's intel was correct and Bark knitting a scarf. Fang says that with the latest data, the Heavy Wing shall appear right about now, which it does, causing the Hooligans to go after it on the Marvelous Queen and Bark to lose his ball of yarn. Heavy King tells the Eggrobo crew members to stand down since they have visitors on Eggman's behalf. Bean decides to tell the Eggrobos that since they're working for Eggman, they could be let through without a fight, but Fang grabs him by the tail and objects since the Heavies went rouge, they'll be blasted to smithereens. Fang tells his boys to be quick and quiet like, though they attack the Eggrobos, unaware they're being followed by Heavy Shinobi. After fighting off the Eggrobos and some Fly Badniks, Fang reaches the vault, hoping it's the 8th Chaos Emerald, but the Hooligans are confronted by Heavy Rider and Jimmy, the former telling the jerboa not to touch it and attacks them. Fang outlines his game plan, with Bean throwing a bomb at Heavy Rider's mace weapon, Bark punching Heavy Rider off Jimmy, and Fang himself bringing the deranged Motobug to heed. Fang and Bean then threaten to blow Jimmy to pieces if Heavy Rider tries to attack again. Fang commands Bark to open the vault and is ecstatic about what's in the vault, only to find it's not a Chaos Emerald. Heavy King arrives and reveals it's actually the Warp Topaz, further explaining it's own power is meager, but with the right charge, it can warp space to an amazing degree. Heavy Shinobi tells Fang that he upgraded the Heavy Wing's engine and that the Warp Topaz's stress testing is nearly complete, explaining the airship's constant disappearing and reappearing. Fang asks if the Heavies didn't happen to find the 8th Chaos Emerald along with the Topaz, but Heavy King tells Fang that it never existed at all, causing Fang to realize that he dragged Bean and Bark for a gemstone that wasn't real. Heavy Gunner says that Eggman tasked the Heavies with excavating new powerful gems after their success with the last one and they found the Warp Topaz in a remote island cave. Heavy Magician tells the gang she once posed as that the Warp Topaz wasn't powerful on its own and there was no need to report it, since it needed more charge. Fang thanks them for the information and asks them if they never heard Eggman's orders to return to port, with Heavy King confirming it. Fang admires the Heavy King's style and says he never wanted to get in his way, asking the Heavies' leader that if they can show him, Bean, and Bark out, while saying they never found him, calling it a professional courtesy. Heavy King counters the offer with his own, saying that the Hard Boiled Heavies can eliminate the Hooligans and claim they never arrived on the Heavy Wing. Fang warily agrees, with Heavy King commanding Heavy Gunner, Heavy Shinobi, Heavy Magician, and Heavy Rider and Jimmy to attack the Gang.
