Sonic the Hedgehog: Fang the Hunter^[1] is a four-part comic miniseries and a spin-off of the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series published by IDW Publishing.

The miniseries focuses on Fang the Hunter, Bark the Polar Bear, and Bean the Dynamite as they search for the rumored eighth Chaos Emerald. Sonic the Hedgehog, Miles "Tails" Prower, and Knuckles the Echidna are also known to appear.

The miniseries is the first IDW miniseries to take place in the Classic era. Additionally, the miniseries has been confirmed to take place sometime between the events of Sonic the Fighters and Sonic Superstars.^[2]

According to David Mariotte, the mainline Sonic comic did not run simultaneously with the miniseries because the staff wanted to "make space" for it, going on break over the course of its run, with the mainline comic returning later in 2024.^[3]
