The Sonic Level Tournament 2014 was an event held by the Sonic Wiki Zone (formerly known as Sonic News Network). Starting on 13 January 2014, a total of 256 stages were to compete for 34 weeks for the title of the most popular level in the entire Sonic the Hedgehog series.
Every week were to have several one-on-one battles, in which anyone can vote for their favorite stage out of the two. One by one, stages were to be eliminated, until at the end of the tournament the winner is determined.
At the 12th week, the organizing team declared the tournament a failed project. The event was abandoned and the team was disbanded.
