The Sonic Trooper[1] is an antagonist that appears in the Sonic Prime television series. It is a mass-produced Sonic-based robot model created from Alpha Grim Sonic's interaction with Prism Energy. It serves as part of the Grim Troopers.
Appearance[]
The Sonic Trooper resembles a recolored version of Alpha Grim Sonic, and as a result is an armored humanoid robot built in the image of Sonic the Hedgehog. It features thin legs, pointy feet modeled after Sonic's shoes, pronounced wrists and elbows, a vent built into its torso, spikes on the back of its head mimicking Sonic's quills, and a large cyan screen running down its face which serves as a display for its white eyes. The robot is plated with silver and gold colored armor.

Season three[]
When Nine was outnumbered, he created an army of Grim Troopers, being cloned from Alpha Grim Sonic. The Resistance, Scavengers, The Kraken's crew and the Chaos Council fought them, but the Grim Troopers managed to seemingly eliminate Mangey and Sails. Later on, they discovered that to get rid of the Grim Troopers, they have to destroy the Alphas, but their job was to guard the Citadel while the Troopers fight. The heroes successfully take out all the Alphas and Troopers.[2][3][4]
Personality[]
The Sonic Trooper has very little personality due to being only made to be an obedient servant to Nine, never talking, and only showing emotion through its eyes. However, it does still display fear.
Powers and abilities[]
Being a mass-produced robot derived from Alpha Grim Sonic, most of the Sonic Trooper's abilities are weaker variations of similar abilities possessed by the Alpha model, and, by extension, Sonic the Hedgehog. As a result, it can travel at high speeds, and has enhanced strength and hand-to-hand combat skills, while also being able to perform Spin Attacks.
Weakness[]
In comparison to Alpha Grim Sonic, the Sonic Trooper is significantly less durable, and will usually be left in a destroyed or deactivated state by a single direct hit.
