The Sonic Speed Trail is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a trail used to modify the playable character's appearance and boost their rewards.

Description[]

When equipped, the Sonic Speed Trail takes the appearance of a textured string of blue icons resembling the outline for Sonic's head that the playable character leaves behind them while they move around or surrounds them like an aura when they stand still. This trail stretches out from behind the playable character until it eventually fades away.

Overview[]

In Sonic Speed Simulator, the Sonic Speed Trail is a collectible trail of the "Legendary" rarity. It can be unlocked at the pink vending machine in Emerald Hill. When purchasing from this vending machine, the player has a 4% chance of getting a Sonic Speed Trail.

In gameplay, the Sonic Speed Trail lets the playable character produce this trail's textured streak behind them as they move around. In addition, when equipped, the Sonic Speed Trail will grant additional Experience Points whenever the playable character obtains a Chaos Orb and additional Rings whenever they pick up a single Ring. The player can as well level up a Sonic Speed Trail for a cost of Rings and/or Red Star Rings at the Upgrade Machine, with level 25 being the maximum level. Leveling up a Sonic Speed Trail will improve its reward-granting attributes. Additionally, the player can evolve a Sonic Speed Trail by collecting five Sonic Speed Trails, leveling all of them up to maximum, and bringing them to the Fusion Machine. Evolving a Sonic Speed Trail will combine the Sonic Speed Trails into a single evolved trail at level 1, with boosted base stats compared to the un-evolved version.
