This article contains a list of glitches from Sonic Speed Simulator. Unless otherwise noted, all glitch names are conjectural. Many of them have not been confirmed by Gamefam Studios or Sega.

List of glitches[]

Legacy glitches[]

Walkable lava glitch[]

LavaGlitchSSpeedSim

The player running on the lava in Hill Top.

In this glitch discovered near a pit close to the end of the level, there is a mineshaft that seems to be a safe alternative to a lava pit that does not have a bridge. However, the lava pit does not damage the player, meaning the player can walk on top of it without having to respawn. This most frequently occurs in Hill Top.

Lost Valley race glitch[]

Lost Valley's race course was infamous for featuring a glitch at the first right-side pole near the beginning that would cause the player to be teleported up further ahead, causing shorter race times than if the player had done the track normally. This glitch was unnoticed and a hidden hole was spotted, covered by sand, and any slow players easily win upon activating the glitch. The glitch was fixed in v1.4.

Side-to-side Bystander[]

To activate this glitch, the player must run sideways while going through a loop and stand on that side for some time. Chances are the character will just stand there without falling. In extremely rare cases, there is a chance where the player will also get stuck inside the floor upon falling, forcing the player to click the "Reset Character" button in the main menu.

"3, 2, 1... Liftoff?"[]

This glitch only works with characters that are level 100 or higher. On rare cases, where the player has to roll to reach the red Sky Ring in Green Hill, the character will be launched over 100 feet high up in the level. Chances are that the level might vanish, lag, and eventually crash the game.

Out of This World[]

This glitch is world-specific, only accessible in worlds with half-curves like Emerald Hill. Upon rolling up the curve, upon launch, if the player goes over 1000 mph at a certain level, the player will be flung fast and far enough to break past any borders of the world, thus flinging the player off of the map.

"I don't need a move set!"[]

Occasionally, the selected character will just remain standing (if it is the Roblox avatar) or hold a T-pose but can still perform all the necessary movements.

Mini scrapped test Obby[]

SSpeedSimulatorMiniObby

The hidden/unused mini obby in Emerald Hill.

In Emerald Hill, the player, at level 300 or higher, must roll and then jump once the first straightaway goes upward. The player will then reach a small Obstacle course-like scrapped area at the top of the stage. This may suggest that this was going to be the original top portion of Emerald Hill but was abandoned due to possible time constraints.

Fake Wall[]

SSpeedSimulatorFakeWall

The player glitched into the wall in Emerald Hill.

Exiting the mini obby from the left side upon entering will result in the player glitching into the wall at the top of the stage. This glitch does not work if the player goes straight out of the wall.

"Behold... an invisible chunk?"[]

SSpeedSimulatorInvisibleChunk

The player standing on an invisible chunk of the mini Obby in Emerald Hill.

Each character in the game is able to float in the mini Obby due to invisible chunks that were left when the mini obby project was abandoned. Once traversing on an invisible chunk, it may seem that the character, at a certain angle, might be floating, but they are not floating in reality.

Leap of Doom[]

SSpeedSimulatorLeapOfDoom

The "Leap of Doom" glitch in Emerald Hill.

After accessing the mini test obby at Emerald Hill, at the invisible world border, the character must jump down to fall out of the map, eventually respawning them at the beginning of the stage.

Phaseable bridge[]

In Hill Top, there was a bridge that did not have collisions when the Zone was first added. This was fixed in the v1.4 update.

Hardened Mega Mack[]

In Chemical Plant, at a Jump Panel beside a Grind Rail, if the player does not make the jump and leaps over the gap into the Mega Mack, the player will be able to walk on top of it. However, this Mega Mack glitch only lasts in a certain area, and the player will respawn if they move at least thirty inches away from the start of the "hardened" mega Mack into the mega Mack pool.

Reborn glitches[]

Upgrade Machine glitch[]

The Pillar Clipper (smaller size)

The player clipping inside the pillar in No Place.

In New Yoke City Time Trial 2, if the player reaches the Goal Ring, but is carried through it by their momentum to the Upgrade Machine behind it, they will be stuck unable to move, forcing them to manually respawn or close the game.

Race Shop GUI glitch[]

When a player owns a character or mount from the Race Shop, the button that says "Owned" will not display below it as intended, and the space will simply be blank. Buying something causes all instances of this button to display properly, but once the shop window is closed, they will disappear again.

The Pillar Clipper[]

In No Place, the player has to stand on the ledge behind one of the pillars. If they manage to pull it off, they can glitch inside the pillar. However, there is no real way out except for resetting the player.

"I'm living under your (ship's) floorboards"[]

If the player ends up getting crammed into one of the small spaces near the pillar when trying to do The Pillar Clipper, they can walk towards the corner of said space and phase through it, leading them to fall inside the Angel’s Voyage, where they can see everything above them, such as other players or anything else on the ship standing over them. They can get out by resetting the player or finding a small body of water that’s under the Angel Voyage’s floors and clicking “return to ship” (or simply wait a minute before the player runs out of oxygen and drowns).
