2 player mode in Sonic Rivals Dash
Sonic Rivals Dash is an online game used to promote Sonic Rivals. The game was featured on the Sonic Rivals official game websites before being shut down.
Gameplay
Sonic Rivals Dash offers two gameplay types: 1 player and 2 player. In one player mode, the plater controls Sonic the Hedgehog in a 2D enviroment. The player can move Sonic forward by holding down the Z key to run, jump with the X key and perform a slide attack with the C key. The objective of 1 player mode is to reach the goal is shortest possible time whilst avoiding Egg Pawns and collecting Rings.
In the 2 player mode, the first player controls Sonic as with 1 player mode whilst the second player controls Shadow The Hedgehog. The controls for Sonic are as the same as 1 player mode whilst Shadow uses the J, K, and L keys respectivly. The objective of 2 player mode is to reach the goal before your opponent, a player can slow down an opponent by attack the rival character causing them to lose rings.
As well as the game, the main menu offers several other options, such as updates for Sonic Rivals, a leaderboard for highscores and sending an e-postcard.
