Sonic Putter is a mobile phone game released as part of the Sonic Cafe service offered by Sega.
Gameplay
This game is a version of Crazy Golf where the player controls Sonic and views the map, points the direction he wants the shot to go, and then correctly times the power of the shot. Once a shot is putted, results are shown and the player can upload their score to a high-scores server. It is also possible to download at least one new course from the server. The game has several gimmicks, as you'd expect from crazy golf: there are panels that carry the ball around the course, warp panels, breakable walls, and the ball can jump. It was remade as Sonic Putter (2009).
