Sonic Head On, also known as Sonic's Head On[3] or Sonic Head-On,[2] is a mobile action game developed and released by Sega in 2001.

The gameplay of Sonic Head On is identical to the arcade game, Head On,[1] which was also developed by Sega.

Sonic Head On was first announced at the JavaOne press conference on 7 June 2000 by Sega and Motorola, as part of a deal between the two companies that would see Sega produce several J2ME-based games for Motorola's new cellular phones.[4][5][1] Several other games were announced as well, including Sonic J, Sonic's Bomb Squad and Sonic Logic.[1][5]
