Sonic Goes Green is a DVD of Sonic cartoons released by by NCircle Entertainment. This DVD consists of four episodes from the first season of Sonic the Hedgehog which were originally aired in 1993. The four episodes on this disc all in one way or another have to do with saving the environment from pollution. The DVD's total running time is approximately 88 minutes. It was released on March 3, 2009.
Each of the episodes included in the DVD relate to saving the environment from pollution.
Sonic reluctantly takes Tails with him to the Big City to find some cotter pins for the Freedom Fighters' catapults. While in the City, Sonic is nearly eaten alive by his old dog, Muttski, now robotisized guard dog in the Junk Heaps. After a harrowing chase, Sonic and Tails return to Knothole and reveal Robotnik's plan to the other Freedom Fighters. They come up with a daring plan to stop Robotnik's defoliating scheme that involves Sonic's speed and the catapults.
When Sally uncovers Robotnik's plan to seed the cloud with toxic rain, they attempt a daring mission to sabotage the craft being transported by land vehicles. Mission fails when Sally, Bunnie and Antoine are captured and taken to an oil refinery island in the Great River. It's up to Sonic to not only sabotage Robotnik's cloud-seeding, but rescue his friends as the island literally sinks beneath their feet.

Robotnik plans to block out sun and extinguish all life and nature on the planet Mobius, he creates a robot son and tries to train him in the ways of wickedness. But when Robotnik Jr. meets Sonic, he becomes a naturalist and teams up with Sonic to thwart Robotnik's evil schemes.
Tails brings a new friends home to Knothole—a baby Terra-Pod who has strayed from the herd, which is currently migrating. Things get dicey when the herd decides to head into the mysterious uncharted Great Jungle, where few who have entered ever returned. Sonic foils Robotnik's attempts to capture Baby-T's mother, rescue all The Freedom Fighters and terra-pods from an imprisoning force field and survives the dangerous plant life of the Great Jungle.
- The episode Heads or Tails gets cut off in the middle of the ending credits.
- On the back cover, the description for the episode Sub-Sonic is actually the description to Robotnik, Jr., an episode of Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog.
This disc also contains many sneak peaks of other DiC cartoons such as Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3.
