Sonic Extra

Sonic Extra^[1] was a routinely-published newsletter released by Archie Comics. Intended to promote the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs, it was provided for free to Sonic readers. Although the exact publication dates of the first and last issues of Sonic Extra are unknown, the series was mentioned in the Sonic-Grams section of Sonic the Hedgehog #34, and its second issue was published earlier in summer of 1995.

Each newsletter issue consisted of a single page with printing on both sides. In addition to containing solicitations for then-upcoming issues, Sonic Extra also featured strategy tips for Sonic the Hedgehog games, and information about staff members behind the comic series and its spin-offs.
