Sonic English Challenge

Sonic English Challenge (英語クイズでソニックを救え！, Eigo kuizu de Sonikku o sukue!^?, lit. "Save Sonic with an English quiz!") is a Japanese trivia gameshow depicting Dr. Eggman threatening to harm Sonic unless he learns English, it’s up to the player to answer the corresponding questions correctly and save Sonic.^[1] The series contains thirteen episodes, which would broadcast from 7 October 2024 to 6 April 2025. It broadcasted on the in-train vision “K-DG Channel” of the Keio Line/Inokashira Line on the Tokyo subway.

Gameplay[]

The show features a series of questions in Japanese down below, the player has to answer them in English while under a time limit. When the player answers the question, Sonic will explain the correct answer.^[2]

Trivia[]

The cutscenes presented throughout the show are reused from the opening of Sonic Unleashed with subtitles providing the new dialogue.^[3]
