Sonic Demo[1] is a mobile game developed and released by Sega.
Development
On 6 June 2000, Sega announced that it would partner up with Motorola in a deal that would see them produce several J2ME-based games for Motorola's new cellular phones.[2] Screenshots of several unnamed games that were to be presented at JavaOne 2000 were released, one of which being Sonic Demo.[2]
When JavaOne was hosted on 7 June 2000, Sonic Demo was fully announced by Sega and Motorola along with several other games, including Sonic J, Sonic's Bomb Squad, Sonic Head On and Sonic Logic.[1] According to IGN, Sega was vague on details regarding Sonic Demo.[1]
