This article contains a list of glitches from Sonic Dash. Unless otherwise noted, all glitch names are conjectural. Many of them have not been confirmed by Sega.
Once the player has reached a certain distance, it will no longer be possible to play outside tutorial mode. This has only been tested on Nokia smartphones in Brazil.
Unseen walls[]
From its debut until the end of the Movie Sonic Event, Emerald City had invisible obstacles, which made it difficult for some players to play on cell phones. This glitch was fixed at the start of the Movie Tails Event.
The springs are a lie![]
1/2
For some bizarre reason, very rarely, at the end of an act, the Springs will cease to work and the player will be sent plummeting into the water behind the springs and level. Attempting to continue running returns some interesting after effects. First the camera will get stuck downwards facing towards the sign above the spring the player just tried to jump on. If the player tries to tap the screen to jump or Spin Dash the camera will focus back on them where they are stuck endlessly in a spinball. Attempting to jump will just have this spinball bounce humorously up and down. The Dash Boost does not work here. The players only option from here on in is to exit the run as they are soft-locked in this position.
It is unknown what causes this to occur in the first place, as usually it is impossible to jump over the springs as the player will be homed onto them if they try.
Up Close and Personal[]
1/1
During any Boss Battle, if the player swipes back and forth rapidly while jumping, their character will appear much closer to the camera than intended.
Truly an endless runner[]
When jumping from a spring, it is possible that the game never loads the swiping quick time event that is usually supposed to happen.
While the source of this glitch is unclear, a possible theory would be that this occurs when you force pause the game at a very specific moment, which is right as the quick time event is about to start. Not by pressing the pause button, but by either exiting the app or by accessing your control panel or lock screen. After you return, the quick time event will just never load.
The result being that your character will keep spinning in the air endlessly, and the only thing you can do is either pause the game and quit, or turn off the game completely. However, when you are in this endless spinning state, you still accumulate points, as the game supposes that youโre still accumulating distance, meaning that you can leave your game on for a long time and get an absurdly high score.
