This is a script of the cutscenes from the storyline and side missions of the Nintendo DS version of Sonic Colors.
Storyline[]
Space Elevator[]
- [A space elevator leading up from earth is shown. Eggman's voice is heard.]
- Eggman: [over speaker] Hello, happy people! Buckle up as Eggman's Ultra-Accelerating Space Elevator whisks you to an interplanetary wonderland of fun!
- Sonic: I can't believe somebody was dumb enough to leave the keys in this thing! It's like Eggman's begging us to sneak in and trash the place.
- Tails: M-m-man, this thing's got c-c-crazy fast acceleration!
- Sonic: You call this fast?
- Eggman: [over speaker] This amusement park has been constructed entirely out of a sense of remorse for my past transgressions, and is in no way associated with any sort of evil plot or premeditated misdeeds.
- Sonic: [sarcastically] Well, that's a relief.
- [The Space Elevator Car races towards Egg Planet Park.
Eggman's Amusement Park[]
- [Entrance to Tropical Resort. The intercom dings.]
- Eggman: Welcome to Eggman's Incredible Interstellar Amusement Park! A single day pass grants you unlimited access to all five park areas!
- Sonic: He can sound as chipper as he wants. I'm not trusting any park with his name.
- Tails: Aw, lighten up, Sonic. This place looks fun!
- Sonic: Oh, right, Tails. Because Eggman's just the type to build a place where people can have fun.
- Tails: I know it sounds unlikely, but do you see anything suspicious around?
- Sonic: I'm sure I'll find plenty soon enough. Let's go! [runs off]
- Tails: Hey, wait! We haven't gone over the park rules yet!
Robots and Wisps[]
- Tails: Hey, look, Sonic! What do you suppose that robot's for?
- [Cut to Cubot, who is chasing two White Wisps.]
- Cubot: Wait up ya little alien! We aren't gonna hurt ya. Just put ya in a cage!
- ???: A%5#UA&1AB!!
- Orbot: That's a terrible idea! If I let you go, you'll go warn your friends!
- [Sonic and Tails arrive, and the Wisps leave.]
- Sonic: They don't look too smart... Must be Eggman's goons.
- Cubot: Hey, you two! Come help us catch these little alien things!
- Orbot: Yeah, help--UAGH! That's Sonic and Tails! These aliens can wait. We gotta tell the boss!
- Cubot: Hrmp! Guess we'll have to catch 'em all later!
- [Orbot and Cubot leave.]
- Sonic: Hold it! Where are you-- Rgh, they're not bright, but they sure are fast.
[The Wisps return.]
- Tails: Are you guys okay?
- Sonic: What gives, Tails? Those dimwit robots said something about aliens...
- [The Wisps suddenly swarm Sonic.]
- Sonic: Hey, gimme a little room to breathe here! What's with you guys, anyway?!
- ???: [pulls back] !! P$GT5#JU9&T
- Sonic: Stop that! Quit shoving! And hey, that tickles!
- Tails: Whoa! He phased right into your body, Sonic! Are you all right?
- [Sonic absorbs the power of the White Wisp.]
- Sonic: What the--? Whoa, it's kinda like... I've got some kind of new power!
Strange Energy[]
- [Tails and a wisp are visible. Sonic enters.]
- Sonic: How do you like that?
- Tails: Sonic, are... Are you okay?
- Sonic: Yeah, just surprised. When I absorbed that alien, I felt a rush of power.
- Tails: You're always super-charged, Sonic. How can you tell the difference?
- Sonic: No, this was like nothing I've felt before! All right. Time for this alien to help me find out what Eggman's up to!
Eggman Appears[]
- Eggman: I need more aliens now! They're a vast source of energy, and I need MORE!
- [Sonic enters]
- Eggman: Sonic?!
- Sonic: Eggman! Just what are you up to with these aliens you're capturing?! I've seen for myself how much power they pack. I won't let you misuse that!
- Eggman: Rgh, nosy little hedgehog, rooting out my secrets... Robot minions, ATTACK!
- Orbot: Understood, boss! Now launching Globotron!
- Cubot: Hey, Sonic! Let's play!
- Eggman: Unlike you, I have no time to waste dawdling about. Hasta la bye bye, suckers!
- [Eggman leaves. The screen starts shaking.]
- Sonic: I'm pretty busy myself. Sorry, but I'll have to cut play time short!
Yacker's Plea[]
- Tails: All right, just have to tighten this last screw...
- [Sonic enters]
- Sonic: What are you working on, Tails?
- [The Miles Electric appears onscreen]
- Tails: It's a translator module, so we can understand what the aliens are saying. Here, give it a try, Sonic! Ask him something.
- Sonic: Who are you and what is happening to your people?

- Tails: Okay, he said his name is Yacker. He's from a race of beings called "Wisps."
- Yacker: G4?3RE8&7%G!
- Tails: He says, "The bad man got my friends." He keeps repeating "save them."
- Sonic: I've got a good guess of who he means. Okay, let's go rescue some Wisps!
Robot's Lost & Found[]
- Cubot: Whoo-wee, I'm beat! Let's ditch janitor duty and go check out some rides!
- Orbot: I'm missing an arm. Have you got an arm?
- Cubot: Naw. But, really, how much can it matter?
- Orbot: I guess it can't matter much.
- [A brief image shows the arm embedded in a mind control cannon. A strange purple glow is leaking out around it.]
The Red Wisp[]
- Sonic: Hey, Yacker! Who's that?
- Yacker: JH&74$@*S
- Tails: Yacker says he's a friend. He's the Red Wisp. I guess there are all sorts of Wisps out there, huh?
- Sonic: Yeah, he looks and moves nothing like Yacker.

- Tails: Hmm, he's saying "Red Burst," but I don't really know what that means...

- [The Red Wisp flies into Sonic, who absorbs its power.]
- Tails: The power of flame, he says! And now you can use it, too!
- Sonic: Nice! That sounds fun. Maybe I'll go singe off Eggman's ugly mustache!
The Orange Wisp[]
- Sonic: What's this orange guy's deal? Is he mad?

- Tails: Apparently not, Sonic. "He's got a short fuse, but he's not mad now." I bet he's a real terror when he's mad. Just like a certain red friend...
- Sonic: Heh, Knuckles? I don't know, this guy looks even more dangerous to me.

- [The Orange Wisp flies into Sonic, who absorbs its power.]
- Tails: This Wisp's Color Power is the "Orange Rocket." He says it's really powerful.
- Sonic: All right, got it. Time to go on a rampage with our new friend!
Plight of the Wisps[]
- [Tails enters, then Sonic does.]
- Tails: Welcome back, Sonic!
- Sonic: Hey, Tails! Anything new from Yacker to report?
- Tails: My translator's been acting up... I think I've got it fixed, though.

- Tails: Let's see... "We Wisps store a powerful energy within our bodies." "Eggman is trying to suck that power out."
- Sonic: That I already knew. Eggman said as much himself.
- Yacker: C$7**E!
- Tails: He says that if you take a Wisp's Hyper-go-on energy he becomes a Nega-Wisp.
- Sonic: No problem! I'll have all of you free before Eggman can do a thing!
Mind-controlled Tails[]
- [An Image of the tractor beam generator is shown.]
- Sonic: Hey, does this machine look sketchy to you?
- Tails: I'll take a look!
- [Cut to Sonic and Tails. Eggman suddenly enters, and an image of the Mind Control Ray appears.]
- Eggman: Oh, no you won't! Take this, you meddling pipsqueak!
- Tails: Waugh!
- Sonic: Tails?! Buddy?
- Tails: ...
- Eggman: Oh ho ho! He's MY buddy, now!
- Tails: Must... stop... Sonic...
- Sonic: Whoa, hold on! Tails, it's me! What are you doing?!
- Tails: Aaaaaugh!
- Sonic: Tails, buddy. Are you all right?
- Tails: Huh? Where am I? Why is my nose hair tingling?
- Eggman: Hmph. Ran out of juice. Well, I'll get more. Lots more! In the meantime, enjoy the park. I'll leave you your own private tour guide.
- [Eggman leaves. The screen starts shaking.]
- Sonic: Hmph! I'll tear this junk to scrap in a flash!
Tractor Beam[]
- Sonic: I knew he'd be up to no good, but mind control? That's bad, even for him.
- Tails: It got me asking Yacker more questions, and I didn't like the answers. Eggman's gathering aliens by the planetful. Literally. Each of the five planets has a generator firing a tractor beam to hold it.
- Sonic: Eggman never did think small. That leaves three generators to go!
- Tails: You've got to hurry! More and more Wisps are being captured, Sonic!
- Sonic: I'm on it. Eggman's the one who should be sweating right now!
Eggman's Masterplan[]
- [In Eggman's base, Eggman is about to fire the Mind Control Ray at Cubot]
- Eggman: Click!
- Cubot: Curse you, Sonic! You'll rue this daaay!
- Eggman: Oh ho ho! A success! With enough energy, even robots are controllable! And... Click!
- Cubot: Who's this guy? Heh, he looks like a hardboiled egg with a mustache!
- Eggman: You bucket of bolts! One little experiment and you forget who I am?
- Orbot: I wouldn't say "forget." He never seemed to grasp that you were his boss.
- Eggman: What?!
- Orbot: Nothing.
- Eggman: If you've got time to chatter, go power up my mind-control cannon!
- Orbot: Don't get your shorts in a knot. It's already at around half juice, boss.
- Eggman: Half? HALF?! What the devil have you slackers been doing? Get to work!
- Orbot and Cubot: Yes, sir! And we totally weren't playing in your theme park, sir!
- [Orbot and Cubot leave.]
- Eggman: Absolutely useless... But things are going well. Almost eerily well! Hoo ho ho ho!
Wisp's Homeworld[]
- Sonic: So this is the Wisp's homeworld, huh? What's happening to it?
- Tails: It's all Eggman's fault. This is going too far, even for him! Ooh, Sonic, look! There are some Wisps over there!
- [Two White Wisps enter.]
- White Wisps: 98YU$TD&3!
- Sonic: What are they saying?
- Tails: Um, let's see... Got it! They said that their planet was pulled here all of a sudden one day. They're asking us for help, Sonic!
- Sonic: Well, that's why we're here. Let's go take out that tractor beam!
The Yellow Wisp[]
- Tails: Sonic, look! This Wisp doesn't look like the others.
- Sonic: Is this another friend of yours, Yacker? He's all shaped like a drill.
- Yacker: BG51?&F%87!
- Tails: He's the Yellow Wisp. He can turn into a drill and burrow.
- Yellow Wisp: #EGL89$RE!
- Tails: He says he's also a good swimmer. He wants to play with you, Sonic.
- Sonic: I'm happy to play, but count me out if there's water involved...

- [The Yellow Wisp flies into Sonic, who absorbs its power.]
- Tails: Now you've got Yellow Drill power in your arsenal, too!
- Sonic: All right! Now to use it to send Eggman packing!

- Sonic: That was over fast.

- Tails: They're all going wild over you, Sonic. Ha ha, I think you have fans!
- Sonic: Aw, it was nothing! Maybe now they'll know they can count on me to--

- Tails: Huh. They sound upset. They keep saying, "He's not here, he's not here."
- Sonic: Maybe Eggman's goons got one of their friends. Tell them I'm on it.
- Tails: All right... I'll say, "It's dangerous. Leave this to us."

- Sonic: Okay, let's go, Tails!
The Cyan Wisp[]
- [The Cyan Wisp flies past]
- Tails: Is this another of Yacker's friends?
- Sonic: He's shining. Is he even a Wisp? Hey, wait up! [leaves]

- Tails: That's the Cyan Wisp. He's super fast, and he glows. I think he-- Huh? Sonic? He must have run off after that Wisp. [There's a sudden flash.] Waugh!
- [The flash of a Wisp Absorbing occurs. Sonic returns.]
- Sonic: When I caught up, he flew inside me. Little guy's almost as fast as I am!
- Yacker: DF$^2RW##
- Tails: I guess that's the power of Cyan Laser.
- Sonic: Heh, I can't wait to see just how fast he can go!
Yacker and the Cyan Wisp[]
- [Yacker and the Cyan Wisp are facing one another. Sonic and Tails enter.]

- Sonic: What's up with Yacker? Is he mad or something?
- Tails: "All that bouncing around would make me sick," he says.
- Sonic: Aw, this is nothing. And a little bit of exercise is healthy!
- Tails: Hee hee, you two are like peas in a pod!
- Yacker: WWW^^WWW!
- Tails: Yacker says he was just thinking the same thing!
- Sonic: I may be as quick as him but I can play it cool when need to. [The Miles Electric appears] Hey! Did you just tell him what I said?
- Tails Hee hee, don't worry. I just said not to worry now that he's with us.
- Sonic: If we're peas in a pod, I need to be sure to set a good example! Let's go!
Hyper-go-ons Charging[]
- Eggman: Oh ho ho ho! After nabbing that giant alien, the mind-control cannon is nearly full! Now go herd up the rest of those aliens on the double!
- Cubot: Aw, come on. If we're just a hair shy, there's time for a quick nap.
- Orbot: Weren't you just napping? Although a break before Sonic comes sounds nice.
- Eggman: Would you two layabouts get going?! No more sleep until that thing is full!
- Orbot and Cubot: Roger that, boss! On our way!
- [Orbot and Cubot leave.]
- Eggman: Hmph, I wonder. This is a critical juncture in stopping Sonic. Then... My park will be complete once I can control every living creature's mind! Hoo ho ho ho!
Nega-Wisp Factory[]
- Sonic: What IS this place?! Whoa. It looks like he's converting them in some way.
- Tails: Eggman must have modified them to power his mind control device.
- Sonic: That monster! Rgh, when I get my hands on him...
- Tails: Hey, Sonic. Have you seen Yacker?
- Sonic: I'm sure he's okay. First, let's help these guys!
The Nega-Wisp[]
- Tails: Those Nega-Wisps are headed this way!
- [The Violet Wisp enters.]
- Sonic: I got a bad feeling about this.

- Tails: Waugh!

- Sonic: What are they saying?
- Tails: I don't know! I can't understand them! They're too far gone!

- [Sonic absorbs the Wisp's power.]

Broken Chains[]
- [The Tractor Beam Chains connecting the Planets to Tropical Resort disappear.]
- Tails: SWEET! The tractor beams are gone! The planets are free!
- Sonic: Was there ever any doubt? I mean, really? Great job, buddy.
Hyper-go-ons Max[]
- Tails: Wahoo! You did it, Sonic! That's the last of the tractor beams!

- Tails: They're so happy! We should get them back to their homes, Sonic.
- Sonic: It's not over till we've found Yacker.
- [Eggman suddenly arrives, scaring off the White Wisps.]
- Eggman: Ho ho ho! You've done it again, you meddling hedgehog!
- Sonic: You're late to the party, Eggman. Are you here to apologize?
- Eggman: You don't actually think I would, do you?
- Sonic: Duh. But what else are you going to do? You're all out of toys.
- Eggman: Ho ho, am I? What about a mind-control cannon chock full of energy? Just give up now and save us both the effort!
Hyper-go-on Surge[]
- [Egg Planet Park goes dark as the Mind Control Cannon prepares to fire. As the power surges, however, the cannon tower is still stuck by Globotron's Arm overloads and explodes, causing a backfire. Nega-Wisp energy is fired in every direction, one shot of which impacts into the moon. The cascade failure of the Mind Control Cannon is causing the released Nega-Wisp energy to begin forming a growing void.]
The Nega-Wisp Armor[]
- Eggman: No! This can't be happening. It's backfiring. Impossible! How? It should be working fine!
- Cubot: Ohh, I get it!
- Eggman: Get what?!
- Cubot: Globotron's arm is jamming the cannon's firing lever!
- Orbot: Ohhh! So that's where that thing went to!
- Cubot: Whew, glad to have that figured out. It was just KILLING me! Well, g'night.
- Eggman: This is no time to nap, you fool! Go FIX it!
- Cubot: Try to stay calm, boss. Fretting won't get you anything now.
- Eggman: Rrgh, I'll show you fretting if you don't think of a plan!
- Orbot: I have been thinking! I just haven't come up with anything...
- Eggman: Bah! Silence! You two are useless!
- [Cut to Sonic and Tails]
- Sonic: Sounds like they're fighting over something. Time to bail!
- [Sonic and Tails leave. Eggman enters.]
- Eggman: Leaving so soon?
- [Cut to Sonic and Tails again]
- Sonic: Tails, you get a head start out of here.
- Tails: No way, Sonic! I'm fighting with you!
- Sonic: Have a little faith, buddy. I can handle these jokers alone!
- Tails: All right. I'll wait for you back home. Good luck!
- [Tails leaves. The screen shakes, then changes to an image of the Nega-Wisp Armor]
- Eggman: Hmph! Cocky little hedgehog! My robot, fused with a modified Wisp, will crush you to bits! You're through, Sonic! Ha ha ha!
- [The screen flashes]
- Sonic: Whoa, chill out, Eggman.
- Eggman: Grrrrrgh! Silence! Siiiilence!
- Sonic: Now it's my turn!
- [The screen flashes multiple times]
- Eggman: Rrgh, always with the buzzing around!
- [The screen cuts back to Sonic.]
- Sonic: (This place won't hold much longer. Hurry, Tails.) (Huh?! Why is there a hole there?!) Yo, Eggman! This way, slowpoke! [leaves]
- Eggman: You can't run forever, Sonic!
Power of the Wisps[]
- [The Nega-Wisp induced void continues to grow, slowly swallowing Egg Planet Park. Inside the black hole, Sonic is floating, surrounded by Wisps. The Wisps take Sonic and carry him off. Outside the Black Hole, multitudes of wisps are flying into the growing void and purifying the Nega-Wisps within. The Wisps carry Sonic safely back to the Earth and set him down gently in a safe place. The exhausted Sonic gives them a thumbs up as they fly back into space.]
Yacker's Goodbye[]
- Tails: Sonic! You made it!
- Sonic: Same as always. It was a cake walk!
- Tails: And Yacker's okay, too!
- Yacker: $7#S%00&B
- Tails: He says thanks for the rescue, Sonic.
- Sonic: Hey, he helped me out as much as I helped him! So thanks for everything!

- Tails: Oh great. He says "goodbye my friends, I have to go."
- Sonic: Just when I was getting used to talking through a machine, he leaves...
- Tails: I was hoping we could spend some more time together, too.
- Sonic: It hasn't been a long time, but I'll miss you. See you around, Yacker!

A New Sonic Legend Begins[]
- Wisp: So, Yacker. You were with Sonic the whole time, right?
- Yacker: Yup, the whole adventure.
- Wisp: What was it like? Was Sonic cool?
- Yacker: Ice cold!
- Red Wisp: Was he fiery like me?
- Yacker: Hot as the sun!
- Orange Wisp: Did he fly?
- Yacker: He flew all over the place!
- Yellow Wisp: Were his spikes sharp?
- Yacker: I was waiting for him to get stuck in something!
- Cyan Wisp: He sounds like a real star! Did he shine like one?
- Yacker: You could just about go blind looking at him!
- Wisps: Wow... Sonic's amazing!
- Yacker: There's a whole lot of space out there, but there's only one Sonic! (I've decided to tell everyone about you so I never forget, Sonic.) (Thanks for everything! I hope I get to see you again...)

- [The screen shakes]
- Tails: Wh-What's going on?!
- Sonic: I thought I heard something.
- [Yacker flies by]

- Sonic: Still, you'd think there would be a LITTLE more of a resemblance.

- Sonic: First off, don't panic.
- [Yacker enters]
- Sonic: Ah, Yacker! Where'd you get off to?

- Tails: "Please, stop my mama."
- Sonic: So that really is his mom, huh?

- [Sonic holds up his hand, and absorbs the seven Chaos Emeralds, turning into Super Sonic.]

- Tails: Me? I was worried about you, Sonic!

- Tails: Wow, get a load of the size of that ferris wheel. It's a monster!
- Sonic: And it was MADE by a monster, too. Don't let your guard down, Tails.

- Sonic: Huh?!
[Sonic runs off. Cut to Orbot, Cubot, Cream, and Cheese.]
- Cubot: Hey, can I borrow that alien you're holding?
- Cream: No way! Cheese is my friend!
- Orbot: Aw, we just wanted to see one little thing. No need to get riled up.
[Sonic enters.]
- Sonic: All right, junk heaps. That's far enough.
- Cream: Ooh, Mr. Sonic!
- Cubot: Hey, he looks kind of familiar. Have I seen him somewhere?
- Orbot: She just said his name, you dolt! I'm surprised he's here already.
- Sonic: Heh, never bet against my speed.
- Orbot: He he he...
- Sonic: What's funny?
- Orbot: You may be fast on your feet, but can you clear this mission?
