Originally, some of the characters in Blue Ridge Zone were planned to be Hedgehogs and Echidnas. They were changed by human characters in the final game.

Unused area[]
There is one unused area that is not playable in the entire game, which can be found in the files for Mystic Ruins. This area has a ruins with a tomb in the middle of the area and sunlight gleaming out of the ceiling.
