Sonic CD is a vinyl album containing the Japanese soundtrack of Sonic the Hedgehog CD. It includes three 180g discs, as well as three double-sided art prints, liner notes by Naofumi Hataya, an etching design on side F and a download code for the digital version of the soundtrack in lossy and lossless formats.[2] It was available for pre-order from 7 June 2019 to 17 June 2019 at 12:00pm (BST).[2] The album shipped in September 2019.

Three editions were released: 180g Classic Black and an Etched Disc, 180g Sonic Blue Vinyl and an Etched Disc and a limited 180g clear record with blue and green splatter designs and a blue Etched Disc.[1]

The album does not include "Sonic - You Can Do Anything" and "Cosmic Eternity - Believe in Yourself", the respective opening and ending themes for the Japanese version of Sonic the Hedgehog CD.
