The Sol Transformation's icon takes the form of the seven Sol Emeralds surrounded by a sparkling Gold Ring. In gameplay, this power-up becomes the seven Sol Emeralds entering the user's body, thus turning Blaze into her Super State.
Overview[]
In gameplay, the Sol Transformation can only be obtained from Item Boxes by Burning Blaze. Notably, the Sol Transformation will always be the user's first power-up to be obtained when an Item Box is collected.
Functionally, Sol Transformation is identical to the Super Form power-up.
When obtained, the player will not be able to utilize the Sol Transformation unless they have at least eighty Rings in their possession. The power-up's unavailability is displayed by the icon for Sol Transformation on the bottom of the HUD being gray. As the player collects more Rings however, the Sol Transformation's icon will gradually be colored from the bottom up. The number of available and required Rings is shown above this power-up's icon. The size of Blaze's pink aura reacts to the number of rings the player has on them at the time, becoming larger and more vibrant with the more rings collected.
Once the Sol Transformation becomes usable, its icon will pulsate and have electricity surging through it. The player can then utilize it by pressing its icon on the bottom of the HUD. When used, the Sol Transformation will make Blaze the Cat stop up for a moment before making her initiate a Sol transformation and making her boost down the track for a short amount of time. In addition, the Sol Transformation allows Burning Blaze to pass through obstacles and rivals' offensive power-up without them affecting her. The duration of the Sol Transformation is indicated by the Ring counter in the upper right corner of the screen. Notably, the Sol Transformation will drain the player's Ring count while in use. Should the character's Ring count hit zero, or duration limit reached, the Sol Transformation automatically ends and the Sol transformed player will return to normal. Similar to Flames of Disaster item, any rival contact with the Sol Transformation's trail while it was activating will slowly be drained of their Rings.
The Sol Transformation can also be upgraded by leveling Burning Blaze up to level 2, 8 and 14 respectively. At level 2 the duration is increased, while at level 8 and 14 the Sol Transformation's speed is increased.
While the Super form characters will simply stop and absorb the emeralds, Burning Blaze appears to perform a pirouette in a tornado of fire akin to her Axel Tornado - particularly that of the animation used in Sonic the Hedgehog (2006).
The move is also visually similar to Blaze's Spinning Claw from Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)
Sol Transformation has a pink aura around the player, compared to Super Form which uses yellow.
Unlike Super Form, which has a yellow boost aura for all the characters who use it - which matches with the character's fur, Sol Transformation has a firey orange boost aura.
Unlike other items, the Sol Transformation has a first upgrade which increases the user's Rings at the start.
It appears that the Sol Transformation was once called the "Burning Blaze Boost" as the icon for the power-up holds this name in the files.
