The Slicer is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog story books published by Ladybird. It is a mass-produced, mantis-based Badnik model created by Dr. Ivo Robotnik.
Appearance[]
Slicers are based on mantises. A Slicer's head is flat with two yellow eyes with small black pupils and two metallic gray mandibles. Each of their two hands has a razor-sharp claw attached to it. Slicers also have thin legs with gray claws for feet and gray underbellies on their abdomens.

Several Slicers would populate one of Dr. Robotnik's buildings in Metropolis Zone, alongside hordes of other Badniks, when Sonic arrived in their Zone.[1]
