- For the version of this character from before the Super Genesis Wave, see Slicer (Pre-Super Genesis Wave).
The Slicer is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is a praying mantis-based Badnik model created by Dr. Eggman which is used by the Metropolis Egg Army.
History[]
Past[]
The Slicers were known to be deployed by Dr. Eggman on at least two occasions in the past.[1][2]
Countdown to Chaos[]
- Note: From the readers point of view, this picks up from where the Slicers' original timeline ended.
Several Slicers were part of the support forces for the Metropolis Egg Army that engaged Sonic the Hedgehog, Miles "Tails" Prower, and Bunnie D'Coolette shortly before the Metropolis Zone was struck by an earthquake.[3]
Post-Shattered World Crisis[]
After the Shattered World Crisis was over, various Slicers would be amongst the Badniks that were deployed during Dr. Eggman's invasion of the Lost Hex. There, however, they and the rest of the Badnik Horde were hijacked by the Deadly Six after they took over the Eggman Empire. However, the Zeti were eventually defeated by Sonic, and so the Slicers were aligned to Eggman again.[4][5]
Trivia[]
- The Slicer is based on the enemy of the same name from the Sonic the Hedgehog series.
