In the Mario & Sonic series, Skill Types are have been reoccurring since the first installment. It was later replaced with the Technique-Type since Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, with the last game that featured it being Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games.
