The Gun Hunter is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is a line of robots produced by the Guardian Units of the Nation in their ongoing conflict against Dr. Eggman and the Eggman Empire.

History

The Gun Hunter robots and other G.U.N. units were deployed under the command of E-123 Omega to defend Central City from an invasion by the Eurish Dark Egg Legion under Dr. Eggman's direct command. While the G.U.N. forces fought valiantly, the invasion was halted on Dr. Eggman's orders rather than through their efforts.
