Sheriff (Kansas)

The Sheriff from Sonic the Comic #140. Black and white art by Bob Corona, colour by Nigel Dobbyn.

The Sheriff is a character that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. He was a human local law enforcement officer in Kansas, U.S.A, Earth, in 1870.

The Sheriff was protecting a covered wagon when it was held up by the outlaw Butch, who knocked the Sheriff down and took his gun. The Sheriff and the wagon were saved by the arrival of Amy Rose and Tekno the Canary, who were travelling through dimensions on missions from the Ring of Eternity. The Sheriff was appreciative of their help and welcoming.

He informed them about some "tin men" (i.e. robots) who had turned up in the desert two miles south. After Tekno flew off to scout the area, the Sheriff made Amy his deputy and gave her a horse.[1]

He later showed up in the nick of time to save them from Colonel Granite and soldiers from Operation Starwatch. He saw Amy, Tekno, Granite and the soldiers all disappear through Granite's time portal, which disappeared, and considered it much more impressive than the steam engine.[2]
