The Sharks[1] are creatures that appear in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. They are a violent alien race from an alternate Zone.
Description[]
Anatomy[]
Sharks possess a bulky and mostly humanoid appearance, albeit each with the addition of a curved head, a large fin on their back, red eyes, light blue skin, and a razor-sharp row of teeth. The Sharks also sport four fingers on each hand, similar to Overlanders.[1]
Characteristics and culture[]
The Sharks have an excessively violent and militaristic culture, invading entire planets only to slaughter their inhabitants. Despite their invasions, most of the Sharks appear to live on a single unnamed planet.[1][2]
Powers and abilities[]
Due to their generally bulky appearance, the Sharks appear to be somewhat strong, being capable of wielding large weapons with ease.[1]

Past[]
The Sharks origins were the accidental result of when the Forty Fathom Freedom Fighters launched some of their hydrotechnology into space to find another home planet. Generations later, the Sharks went on a feeding frenzy and brought war to planet Bluto, slaughtering its entire population except for a lone survivor, Saleta, while also inflicting the same carnage to the home worlds of Bunni, Twan-Du, Rotor-27, and Hawkhawk. After the invasions, the Sharks left (presumably back to their home planet), not knowing that one inhabitant of each planet they invaded had survived.[1]
Freedom Fighters of the Galaxy[]
Later, the home planet of the Sharks was targeted by Silver Snively as a food source for Robolactus. Although the ultimate fate of the race is unknown, it is implied that several (if not all) of the Sharks were eaten by Robolactus and Silver Snively.[2]
