TYOU 30

Shadow finds the green Chaos Emerald, from "The Yoke's on You".

Sometime long after the events of Sonic Advance 3,[1] before the shattering of the Paradox Prism, Shadow would be rushing through Green Hill, smashing through several rocks with a Spin Attack as he would be searching for a Chaos Emerald. After obtaining the green Chaos Emerald, Shadow would proceed to utilize Chaos Control, teleporting around before being interrupted with a shockwave caused by Sonic's battle with Dr. Eggman, making him have a brief glimpse into the future. Recognizing the shockwave as Sonic's attack, he would then proceed to head off.

TYOU 190

Shadow arguing with Sonic, from "The Yoke's on You".

Shadow would then proceed to intercept Sonic later on as Sonic would be rushing around, and soon punching him in the face.[2] Shadow would then interrogate Sonic as to what was going on, but Sonic would play off Shadow's annoyance as simple jealousy for Sonic's strength. The two would then get into a battle, Shadow catching up to Sonic while the latter was running, wanting to end the fight early to get to a mission, with Sonic refusing to explain the mission to Shadow. The fight would continue up until Sonic would be distracted, Shadow then landing a punch on Sonic's face. Sonic would return the favor, however, distracting Shadow by pointing to a location claiming Eggman was there and using his Spin Attack to send Shadow into a wall of rocks as Sonic would escape.[3] Shadow would soon erupt from the wall, giving chase after Sonic, and upon arrival at the battle, he would witness the shattering of the Paradox Prism, but would utilize Chaos Control to teleport out of the way of the blast, him then reappearing in the Void between the Shatterspaces.[4]

Shadow would be soon heard by Sonic as the latter would be running around in the hamster ball used by the Chaos Council. Sonic would initially wave off this interaction as him hallucinating however.

Shadow would then tell Sonic that he was lost in the Void whilst he saw the latter picking up speed in the Boscage Maze, telling him that he had to keep moving, only for Sonic to exit, and Shadow tried to get to him, with no avail.

It is unknown as to where he was when Sonic and Nine left New Yoke City and headed to The Grim in Nine's Shattercraft, and where he was when Sonic was travelling through the Void to get back to New Yoke City.

Shadow would be heard from once again as Sonic would be speeding up while fighting in New Yoke City, saying that he needed to keep running as Sonic would soon run fast enough to break into the Void between the Shatterspaces.[5]

Shadow would be seen once again as after Sonic would be sent back into the Void between the Shatterspaces from No Place, he would intercept Sonic with one of the crystals inside the area. After hearing Sonic's voicing of wanting to head home, Shadow would angrily tell him that there is no more home to go to as he would rush at Sonic once again, ready to fight him.[6]

Season two[]

Ugh, I don't understand. I thought the tech would get me through the Gateways. Why didn't it work? I saw Nine give you the tech, in the lab, you kicked up the prismatic energy when you ran fast and crossed over into the Void. I just assumed it was the tech. But it's something else... it's you.
