The Shadow SWATbot is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is a mass-produced Badnik model created by Robo-Robotnik v1.0 and a variant of the SWATbot from an alternate Zone.

Appearance[]

Shadow SWATbots are humanoid-shaped robots with shiny metallic gray and white armor covering them. Standing at roughly six feet tall, Shadow SWATbots have domed-shaped heads with a spike protruding from the top and view the world with a single blue-tinted optical visor. Melee spikes also protrude from the joints, while large “fins” occupy the forearms.

History[]

Night of 1,000 Sonics[]

Anti-Sonic commanding a group of Shadow SWATbots, from Sonic the Hedgehog #19.

In an attempt to wipe out all the versions of Sonic that had gathered in the Prime Zone, Robo-Robotnik v1.0 sent his Shadow SWATbots to attack them. However, they were met head-on by Dr. Robotnik's own SWATbots, resulting in the Shadow SWATbots being taken out. More Shadow SWATbots soon after joined Anti-Sonic on the Cosmic Interstate where they fought several Sonics over the Giant's Hand. However, these Badniks were no match for the Sonics.[1]

Powers and abilities[]

In terms of combat potential, the Shadow SWATbots are inferior to the Prime Zone SWATbots.[1]

Each Shadow SWATbot is equipped with a rocket pack, granting them the ability to fly.[1]
