This article contains a list of glitches from Shadow Generations. Unless otherwise noted, all glitch and exploit names are conjectural. Many of them have not been confirmed by Sega.
If the player holds down the button for Chaos Control while touching an Item Box containing chaos energy, the player will instantly utilize Chaos Control, while the gauge still remains not full. After the Chaos Gauge runs out, the gauge will be refilled, giving the player a second chance to utilize the move. The player is able to perform a chain of this glitch as long as they need to.[1]
This happens because Chaos Control freezes the gauge from being filled. Which means that even if touching other Item Boxes or defeating enemies, the energy from them won't be transferred to the gauge until the gauge, for the most current utilization of Chaos Control, runs out.
Spear Glides[]
An oversight was made to the game where the Chaos Spears were forgotten to have air drag enabled, allowing someone to carry over their momentum while soaring through the air. Unlike previous entries, where air drag was accidentally disabled on certain mechanics, Chaos Spears are more restrictive on gliding, which allows speedrunners to abuse it while maintaining skill-based play.[1]
While the glitch has not been given an official name by Sega, it has been given the name "Spear Glides" by speedrunners.
