To use Shadow’s All-Star Move, the player must have obtained an All-Star Item. When using it, Shadow the Hedgehog gets a temporary increase in speed while one of his theme songs plays in the background. How his All-Star Move is performed depends on the game. In addition, Shadow gains a special power unique to himself, which effect also depends on the game, for the duration of the move.
Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing
In Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing, Shadow’s All-Star Move is referred to as the Super Shadow. When activated, Shadow whips out the Chaos Emeralds to transform into Super Shadow as he jumps off his Dark Rider. While flying down the track at high speed, he can boost to increase his speed and launch Chaos Spears at other racers in order to hinder their progress. However, the Chaos Spears cannot be launched unless the player keeps pressing the Action button repeatedly, as Super Shadow will just keep flying the course if not doing so. The song that plays for the duration of the move is "Chaos Control" from Shadow the Hedgehog.
In the Nintendo DS and mobile versions of the game, however, Super Shadow acts similarly to Sonic's All-Star Move, where pressing the action button will cause Shadow to dash forwards.
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed
In Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, Shadow’s All-Star Move is unnamed. When activated, Shadow can use the Chaos Blast to inflict damage to any racer or obstacle set on the track by Pickup items caught in the vicinity of the blast or its remaining flares. Chaos Blast can be used consecutively, but will require charging before it can be used additionally by pressing the Weapon button. Like all other All-Star Moves, Shadow's G.U.N. Auto Tread changes into plane mode if not already in said mode. The song that plays for the duration of the move is "Super Shadow" from Shadow the Hedgehog.
