Sega Sound Team is the name used by Sega for publishing the company's music on streaming services. It is a collective term for various composers and musicians employed by SEGA, responsible for creating the soundtracks to many of the company's video games. Officially credited as "Sega Sound Team" or simply "Sega," this group has produced music for games across a wide variety of genres, including the Sonic the Hedgehog series.

The term dates back to the late 80s, being associated with the S.S.T.Band or Sega Sound Team Band, which was Sega's official in-house band from 1988 to 1993, specializing in rock versions of Sega arcade game themes for Japan-only compilation albums and festival appearances.[1]

Today, Sega's soundtracks of their games are released under the Sega Sound Team name on digital platforms like Spotify and YouTube Music.
